Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (ANM)

Duration: 2 Years

Selection Process

Government quota seats are allotted through Central Counseling conducted by the Government of Odisha, based on merit determined by marks obtained in the 10+2 Examination. Management quota seats are also filled strictly on a merit basis.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Gender: Only female candidates are eligible.
  • Age: Minimum age of 17 years as on 31st December 2025.
  • Education: Must have passed 10+2 in Arts, Science, or Commerce from a recognized Board/Council.
  • ASHA Candidates: ASHA workers with 10+2 qualification are eligible to apply.
  • Language Requirement: Must have passed Odia up to M.E. standard (applicable for Government institutions and Government seats in private institutions).
  • Health Requirement: Candidates must be medically fit for the course.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the ANM program have excellent job prospects as Female Health Workers in Government sectors through NRHM, as well as in private healthcare establishments.
