Selection Process

Government quota seats are allotted through Central Counseling conducted by the Government of Odisha, based on merit determined by marks obtained in the 10+2 Examination. Management quota seats are also filled strictly on a merit basis.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age: Minimum age of 17 years as on 31st December 2025.
  • Education: Must have passed 10+2 with English and secured at least 40% aggregate marks (without extra optional subjects). A relaxation of 5% in total marks is given to SC/ST candidates.
  • For ANM Candidates: Registered ANMs with 10+2 qualification are also eligible to apply.
  • Language Requirement: Must have passed Odia up to M.E. standard (applicable for Government institutions and Government seats in private institutions).
  • Health Requirement: Must be medically fit for the course.
  • Gender: Both male and female candidates can apply.

GNM graduates can pursue rewarding careers as Staff Nurses in Government hospitals, corporate healthcare facilities, and other medical institutions.
