Our Promise

At Jagannath Institute of Health Science and Research(JIHSR), we strictly do not allow ragging. We are committed to creating a safe, friendly, and respectful environment where every student feels comfortable and supported.

What is Ragging?

Ragging means any behavior that makes a student feel scared, uncomfortable, or humiliated. This can include:

  • Physical harm or harassment
  • Using insulting or abusive words
  • Forcing someone to do something they do not want to do
  • Online bullying or harassment
  • Any action that hurts a person’s dignity or safety

Law Against Ragging

Ragging is a serious crime under Indian law, as per the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009.

Students found guilty of ragging may face:

  • Suspension or removal from the institute
  • Fine and/or legal action
  • Cancellation of admission

Steps We Take to Prevent Ragging

  • Orientation programs to explain anti-ragging rules
  • An Anti-Ragging Committee and Squad to monitor the campus
  • CCTV cameras in important areas of the campus and hostel
  • A system to report complaints anonymously
